I like the US version, but it sort of seemed more like daytime TV. I think the over the top characters have been done to death, like Carrel's. I liked watching Brent to be everyone's buddy. The awkward moments are what's gonna make the UK Office a comedy classic, and I don't think the US Office will go down as a classic. You can tell from the music at the beginning of the US version means its not gonna be the same sort of show.
