The "21g" story is a myth created by someone trying to "prove" the existence of the soul and perpetuated by people who have not thought through the logic of the argument. If we really "lost" 21 grams at the moment of death, (which we don't!), that would imply the soul has "mass", which would mean it is a material thing, not a 'spiritual' thing, ergo this might prove the soul is not a "supernatural" part of us at all!
