Erm Big Milan, I think the word "hop" sort of implies that your entire foot goes off the ground... If I'm correct.. (I hope I am :P) What occurs is you're hopping... but you're also sliding on the ball of your foot. Not a complete slide with the flat of your foot... but also not a total complete hop in which you're totally off the ground... because if it was a "hop" you wouldn't really hear the 'scratching" noise that you hear when you're "hopping"

Haha, great vid! I spent my entire first day learning the shuffle doing one hop. Thought I was badass for getting it so quick.....then I find that I was doing it wrong. Haha, good times~

The scratching noise is the the foot slide to a stop when it lands. Its because its coming in at an a tight angle and using friction to stop, not stomping straight down.
