For lots of people a 100 bucks a month is alot of money to come up with. And it's not just about cost, it's also about insurance companies not insuring people due to "pre-existing conditions" or dropping coverage after someone files a claim. The insurance companies only care about the bottom line, not about the health of their clients. And that is wrong. It needs to be corrected. People shouldn't get wiped out financially because they get sick.

You are right the pre existing condition is an issue, but where does it say that a company has to do the moral thing and not worry about the bottom line? These are companies. You dont the the govt would have to show a profit doing this? It would be another govt bail out situation. We already pay the costs for hundreds of thousands of illegals. Where does it say its your god given right to health care? The govt has programs for those that do not have the money. Medicare/medicade.

That is an extremely ignorant statement, "Get a job where they offer health care". That statement inhibits the current system, you're saying suck it up? And you're generalizing "most young people" and saying they do pot...ok. It's not the amount of money, it's the principle. You shouldn't have to pay for health care. The principle of "tax" is to maintain one's country - that includes it's citizens. 100 dollars or a thousand, it's still unjust.
