I went to see the four tops in Morecambe (yes Morecambe!)in the early 1980s. They were fabulous. At the end of the show we were waiting for a lift in a doorway and Levi came out and was a total gent and asked if we were ok.A real soul man. RIP

RIP Levi Stubbs. Levi had one of the great voices of our time. Levi's voice was very distinctive and only a hand full of artists have that kind of vioce. He could take a song and make it his own and only a select few artists can do that. A powerful, yet passionate and soulful voice. Although you will be missed, We understand it's time for you to take your rest. Rest comfortably in God's hands. Your legacy and songs will live on.

so many of the great singers have passed away in recent times, which is so sad ! and levi was up there with the greats aka barry white / luther vandross / isaac hayes to name but a few !!! very soon we will be left with nothing but clones aka x factor and reality tv singers ! which is really sad but no where near as sad as the great singers we have lost.
