Dude....I read his book. He explains in his book why he retired. He was perfectly fine. 100% healthy. He retired for the same reason Floyd Mayweather retired from boxing. His heart just wasn't in the game anymore. He was on the LIONS for god's sake. He knew he wasn't gonna win a Super Bowl anytime soon...and he knew that the Lions wouldn't trade him. So he retired. I think he should've stayed in the league until he broke Walter Payton's rushing record though. He WANTED to retire. He was fed up.
