I remember playing this game back then. It was absolutely the most boring and the most difficult game at that time. In fact, it has been rated the 12th worst game of all time.

Always controversy upon a new type of media or entertainment that becomes an epidemic, people have to panic for regulation. If the Night Trap was released as a downloadable game over Xbox Live and PSN people wont care. As long as it has its "M" rating. Times have changed, the spotlight of negative attention is dimming away. Its only a matter of time before Video Games can be fully embraced without any ridiculous controversy or over-regulation. Soon we might even see some "AO" rated games.

I've certainly lost some respect for Byron Dorgan after watching this. I believe him to be one of the few Democrat senators to be truly concerned about the waste going on in this country.
It sickens me that there are so many in Washington abdicating censorship when they are charged in the oaths they take to defend the Constitution of the United States. The framers made the freedom of speech the first admendment for a reason: to protect us from those that are in Washington today.

Thats because you'd need a CD based gaming console to be able to play digitisied video (sega mega CD) something Nintendo stayed away from because they at the time had the Super NES and later the N64 which used cartridges for instant load times and are harder to pirate but couldn't handle video. Heres Nintendo making a stand against Night trap yet they relised MK (without blood) and MK2 with full gore on Super NES.
