What's the greatest achievement you've done for the human rights of the Tibetan people? Have you ever imposed your values upon others? Compare your words to your deeds. If the west wanted to lie we could have tried to make it look like the Chinese didn't care about the Earthquake victims or that help was poorly organised or delayed. That is what a biassed media with the aims of belitteling china would have done. Communist countries have been good in the freedom of speech and propaganda areas havn't they?

I'm an American. but I also know humility. what do you mean, "we're more human than anyone else?" are you saying that we, as Americans, are "freer" and more "equal" than anyone else in the world? are you sure about that? because by claiming that, you are, by extension, claiming that there is no discrimination in the U.S. but it's VERY apparent that there is partiality in Western coverage of the Beijing Olympics. how do you explain that? That was definitely apologetic enough. The Chinese government consistently censor the media in China- and this did occur when the Tibet protests (an important event) in London took place. Yes, the BBC realised that other government-independent organisations did indeed report the coverage -it was not overly wrongful of the BBC to assume that this wouldn't occur. They apologised. This is yet again another attempt by the Chinese to ruin the good name of such an excellent broadcaster: the BBC.
