Hi folks!Here me in a rock guitar improvisation,based mostly on pentatonic/blues scale.There are also parts of songs I've written;I think it could be rocking...The guitar (Les Paul Standard)has humbuckers/single coils combination...Jimmy Page teaches!Let me know what you think!I'm Italian,greetings from Italy!Ps:I don't know why,the video is sloppy

oooh...it's an epi....i ain't got enough money for a gibby yet mate...but epi is almost as good....killer tone...better than my fender strat..

I have about 350 U.S. to spare on guitar right now. An Epi would suit me. Just a couple hundred more. Heard that they have cheapy humbuckers so I might consider EMGs to replace them. I heard that's all it takes for an Epi to sound just as good as Gibby. The only dif after that is the name and the fact that they are made in American not China and what not.

EMGs will make ur epi BADASS!!...yeah i feel thats the only diff too..but if u aint a millionaire then an epi is more n perfect...haha..the standard alnico classic humbuckers aint too bad either..give it a try before u switch

Yep that was my plan. I have only been playing for like two years but felt it was time to upgrade. Gibson has been slacking from what I heard anyways. I played a Standard at Guitar Center the other day and it had EMGs in it, I played it and it was a dream, keeping in mind it was an Epiphone I was really impressed.

aaah EMGs are totally outta dis world...i might change over one day too but i am just too much in love with my les paul right now to do anythin to it..lol...maybe later..i been playin electric since 2 years too..was acoustic before..parents wernt too keen on electrics...now i live on my own n do n buy WHATEVER I WANT!!!muahaha...

Luckily my parents work late. plus I have head phones to plug in to my amp but its just normal headphones with a plug in jack from radio shack :D

it works thats for sure. I dont crank it up unless all the windows are closed but ma parents are cheap so no a/c during the summer. hav 2 keep the windows open

Yeah and Japan and China as well. Its why they are cheaper. That and the quality of the materials and hardware is not as good.

unless your dead set on epi. you can get a standard strat for a little more than that

Well I already have a strat, and I have played Tele's and Strat's from Fender as well as Les Pauls, Paul Reed Smiths, and SG's from Gibson and Epiphone and my personal fave is the Les Paul. So in a way I'm dead set on Epi, but I dont know if I should go all the way for a Gibby. Keep in mind I'm only 15 :D

yesterday i went to a guitar store and was playin some of the guitars, and i came across a ibanez and i loved it. it was the nicest playin guitar id ever played and ive played everything, from dean razorbacks to mellow telecasters. im only 14 but i can play awesome. and if you really want the les paul the only dif. between the gibson and epi. is pickups and a name. good luck man keep rockin

indeed on the dif between Gibby and Epi, but they are made in dif countries. I'm ok I've only been playing a couple yrs but I practice a lot.

I think you should go for the Gibson. Sure, it's more expensive, but it's worth the extra money. So what if you're only 15? I'm 13 and i have a Gibson Les Paul. If you're not comfortable going all out and buying a full fledged Gisbon les paul and being broke for the next month or two, buy a studio. The only difference from standard is pickups.
