he coveted /pursued the white horse(unicorn) into an unknown world, everything looked new to him. he lived in awe. When he fell into the river he finally accepted life without fear, the horse did not offer to help, but someone did (possibly god), and after he was able to live in the now to its fullest with his companion. watch it again from a philosophical POV

you see, apart from other things the movie is SO kind ... listen to the sound - it's made as so intimate thing... :)
also there is so nice music...
the atmosphere is so kind, quiet and poetic...
also look to the way of visualistion of the movie - it's has it's own very special style and it's at really artistic level.
also one can say that the movie is kind of a dao-movie (dao de zin): it's really about everything and about nothing in the same time... :)

Yes, I think he did pretty well, and everything is really well armonized (music, sounds, images,...) making this atmosphere, and i can see the artistic level, and i respect all the people who commented they love it because it isn't a loosy vid. But there are films that I have to say that they are really good in an artistic or philosophical way, which I don't like or didn't 'touch' me, i don't know, maybe is the dao-movie style, but it didn't touch me.
