This has been a real labour of love for me. I first got the High Energy video in 1978! It was one of the very first promo video collections ever - hence no special effects, mono sound (domestic hifi video wasn't invented) and I watched it so many times I bought another backup copy for safe keeps. This video came and went very quickly in the shops and is very rare. I've spent a lot of time transferring it and adding a new stereo digital soundtrack to 'beef it up'. I just love Scherrie's vocal on this and if you listen to the version she made with me she made me smile by still effortlessly singing it in the original key! What a trouper! A lady I am very proud to call my friend. This was recorded just before Mary quit. They did the whole video in a studio in London. Sadly I didn't know them well enough to get invited to the recording but hey, I still have a mint condition copy of the whole thing! Stoned love, Steve.x

I wonder if they got the chance to sing this song on the reunion tour or did they have to stick only to the songs that were recorded with Ms. Ross. I wonder if Diana allowed Sherrie the opportunity to shine and do this number on the tour. I really can't see it happening as Sherrie is more beautiful physically and vocally than Ms. Ross and surely Diana realizes that Sherrye would have made her look second-rate. I can't see it happening. But if it did happen, that must have been wonderful.

What amazes me about the supremes, no matter how many different supremes there were. How the times and style of music changed, they were always able to adjust to the times in a great way. Each trio made their own individual and unique statement. There is no need to make comparisons. They were all great singers. I thank them for all the pleasure i've had over the years listening to them. Realize we are still talking about them, listening to them for nearly 50 years.
