as for the beatles, I mean come on, they started as a cover band( a really good one,but..) AND they got outsold one year by Hermans Hermits...who actually I think is another great unappreciated band :)

ok... i like oasis but i don't really think its even FAIR to compare them to the beatles. just out of respect for the beatles. the beatles are classics. everything they wrote basically was a hit. oasis is just like another 90s band. they're good but i wouldn't even say they were the best of the time. or are now for that matter.
