A very interesting discussion. I don't see youtube as pure entertainment. It is like a global dialougue that can bypass media corporations and governments.
aside from the butt dancing there is serious debates around religion and politics. I think many people would not be involved in these debates if it wasn't for Youtube.

i don't wanna be snub but i did get it, because the amaount of suscribers lisanova has, takes away any selfish motives from her part so the only motive was to bring awareness to an issue (spam), by actually doing it. Plus, she does spoofs and parodies, so it made sense. It was pretty smart.

Youtube are capricious and unaccountable when it comes to suspending accounts. Their treatment of xenutv1 is an absolute disgrace, it makes me really regret the youtube google takeover. I'm just hoping a reasonably popular alternative will emerge. It's just one issue with youtube, the grandfathered-in directors accounts are another. I'm sick of jumping through disorganized multi-part videos on my subscriptions. It's like youtube doesn't even take themselves serously. Why sould anyone else?
