Mate I've responded to all of your rants and it's manifestly true if you check the history.
Again no, I haven't been blacklisted because I have never owned a company that treats people poorly enough that a group would consider a complete boycott.
Your arguments are a farce; the unions can not take away your job or your money as only your employer has that power.
The examples I have ...( 9 months ago by djgamble07)
The examples I have already given include James Hardie victims and a personal friend (actually a few personal friends) who have been given legal aid from the teacher's federation.
Again as I said, you fail to debate any of these points and keep complaining that your company was blacklisted.
I have no idea which company this was or why it was blacklisted so I can't debate you on the merits of your particular blacklisting unfortunately.
The unions have ...( 9 months ago by Ikazi)
The unions have given us much of the rights we hold today. Without them we would be like America, imagine the social effects not only on the poor but the rich too. Howard wants a class society with an aristocratic business sector.
Sorry acidie but I ...( 9 months ago by djgamble07)
Sorry acidie but I had to use the "block user" and "remove" buttons on you as your rant contained too much colourful language and contained personal attacks rather than balanced debate over the points I raised in both my video and typed responses.
If you truly believe that I "don't know shit" then really all I can suggest is that you don't bother arguing with me because I'm an "idiot" and don't have anything useful to say.

You haven't stated any reasoning behind your comments. This is what you sound like: My name is 151607, TRUST ME, THERE IS A MAN IN THE CLOUDS JUDGING YOU, SO BEHAVE. Doesn't make for a very good argument does it?

With regard to blocking acidie I assume?
1) "[his] rant contained too much colourful language" and;
2) "...contained personal attacks"
I don't waste my time listening to people who tell me I "don't know shit". If someone thinks I am a fool then that's up to them.
I'm here for constructive arguments (okay maybe that's wishful thinking), but I think they only exist when people agree that I have a legitimate opinion and attack my substance rather than my intelligence.

Second point:
"My name is 151607, TRUST ME"
Well actually I didn't state my name, or tell people to blindly trust me (although this was a tactic used by the man I banned for attacking me personally simply because he doesn't share my opinion).
In fact don't trust me. Go and do your research then argue with me; I'm sure you'll learn a lot more that way!

maybe you are to young to remember what sort of damage unions are capable of the problem with unions is they are out dated and no longer valid as a political organisation yes they still have their place but getting unions to run the country can be compared to getting the police force to run the country
Mate I'm young, ...( 9 months ago by djgamble07)
Mate I'm young, healthy and proud of it but really can't see why you felt the need to comment on my age in an attempt to give your comment some authority.
Correct me if I am wrong but I never said that I wanted unions "run[ning] the country". Also if you listen to my examples of where unions have been useful I think you'll find I did not talk about politics.
My only political statement was about Joe Hockey misrepresenting unions as a nasty group of people in his negative scare campaigns.
What damage have ...( 9 months ago by jampt1989)
What damage have the unions done? I hear people say that a lot but it lacks substance. Some of the most important economic reforms that contribute to our current prosperity were under Hawke. He was the former head of the ACTU!
The reason for ...( 9 months ago by hergenhahn2)
The reason for commenting on age would simply be for the purpose of first hand experience. I remember the high unemployment rates we had under Labor. No chance of any job, not even an underpaid boring one most people wouldn't look twice at these days. And interest rates that would cripple homeowners. Unfortunately, each generation has to have their own learning experience.

"No chance of any job, not even an underpaid boring one"
My parent had good, interesting jobs when Labor were in power and they still have good interesting jobs today. It's ridiculous to say that no one had a chance of getting a job simply because Labor were in power.
What does this have to do with the unions? You seem to be talking about the Labor party and economics, but not any specific union actions or a specific period in time.
Like I said, each ...( 9 months ago by hergenhahn2)
Like I said, each generation has to have their own experience. 30% youth unemployment while parents paid 18% interest on their home loans. To say that your parents had good interesting jobs is all good, but you're ignoring those (many) who didn't. I'm happy your parents and you had food on their table, we didn't. As a battler the Howard government at least gave me a chance to work my way up. That I ahve achieved, now I'm worried for my daughter.
Okay what did ...( 9 months ago by djgamble07)
Okay what did Howard give you?
You're forgetting that Howard as treasurer gave people the highest interest rates in history and right now underemployment is extremely high.
It's all well and good to say that unemployment is low, but all that means is that people are working for 1 hour in the year, not that they have secure, interesting, good paying jobs. And with Work Choices they don't even have unfair dismissal!
There will always ...( 9 months ago by djgamble07)
There will always be people who don't have good jobs, it's a fact of life.
The unions have always fought for job security and good working conditions. Look at countries without unions... you'll see builders working on roofs in the rain wearing no safety gear and being paid the princely sum of $3 an hour for their efforts.
Sorry but unions are necessary in society and do a good job, you have provided no evidence otherwise.

You are! $3 per hour on roof tops?
Unions haven't done a good job for the country, nor its members. The evidence is there, you just haven't experienced it. 30 to 40 percent youth unemployment. Do some history checks on the recession. Union memberships have continued to drop, because workers don't see any benefit in paying an organisation $300 to $500 for doing nothing other than lining their own pockets.

I experienced it, and it wasn't that bad. The fact is that the world financial markets were in a recession at the time, so blaming the unions for Australia's recession and consequent unemployment seems a little far fetched. Union membership dropped, I think, because the IR laws in place were sufficiently protecting Australian workers, and union protection no longer seemed necessary. WorkChoices certainly changed that.
Between 1985 and ...( 8 months ago by hergenhahn2)
Between 1985 and 1996 Australia's unemployment and inflation rate was dignificantly higher than that of G7 countries. Our GDP per capita was significantly lower than the OECD average, general government budget balalnce was negative, interest rates in Australia were higher in comparisson to the US, Germany, and Japan.
Union memberships have continued to drop even after workchoices was introduced.
