i assisted my "mentor" on one of her shoots, and she allowed me to use one of her mark III's. on my own i shoot a rebel xti with all the fixings(530 external, a few good lenses, batty grip and all that) ...and i can tell you for a fact without canon wasting their time that there is no comparison between the two. if you ever get serious about digital photography you'll need one. i refuse alot of jobs because i know my camera isnt industry standard.

The guy is a bit off in the comparison but I would say this for a the "Majority" of so called "Photographers" or "Wannabee" Pro's or self proclaimed pros out there that is you really dont need or have the "Skills" to make a bit of difference if you use the MarkIII or if you use a 40D.If you guys spent a 1/4 of the time you guys do reading reviews and camera specs you might actually learn something about "How" to be a better photographer instead of making Canon more money. Been at this for 17yrs

Man!!!! I have also questioned the price tag of the 1ds when I have used the Nikon D3 and the early indications of the 5d mark ii. But dude you are comparing a pro camera with a consumer!! I know you would do anything to get your hands on a 1ds, but dissing the ferrari of cameras will not make Canon send you one. So I suggest just going out and enjoying the camera you have and maybe put up some shots so we can see what your shooting is like Peace bro

God damn it took a while to find out what lens he has on his XT. I am sure its a Phoenix but I am not sure of the model but I don't see good reviews on any Phoenix lenses. Having that lens is like getting a Ferrari and put regular gas in it. and stop talking about megapixel. It's not what determines the ultimate image quality. I really doubt you'll know how to use a 1D properly even if u get one. U are quite entertaining though. I had a good pity laugh ...

you can miss a life's best shot in 1/5........ there's reason people are paying the money for.. it really depends what kind of photographer you are... but it's great that you love your camera. some people buy new camera once a year and go out and shoot once a year... to test the camera......

Comparing a rebelXT (i like it, my first d-slr) to a 1ds markIII is just pointless, some people get paid over 10k on a single photo. And your wall decorations deem you unworthy of a 1ds markIII XD.

You're right dude. Only a serious professional who does high end weddings or professional studio work would ever need the EOS Mark III. I personally, have no desire in the slightest to own that camera. My XSi with the 17-85mm IS, 55-250mm IS and 50mm Mark I is perfect for what I do. So, this video makes great sense and gets a good rating from me.
