great song by a great band. Love all their records. Used to see them at the Palamino Club in the valley back in the seventies. Hope they'll put out a DVD some day from back in that time. Thanks Hank.

Definitely Commander Cody's best crafted song. Have their original album shown at 00:07. However, the best Truckers CD features this song as well as Dave Dudley, Jerry Reed, Willie Nelson, and Joe Stampley's "Roll On Big Mama".

That certainly sounds like the fiddle playing of Andy Stein who went on to play with Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion band. The fine fiddle work and that signature pedal steel make this one of the prettiest country tunes you'll ever hear.

That's Andy Stein in the black and white group photo on the far right in the plaid shirt. His credits are long. He played on the basement tapes with Dylan and even with Stephan Grapelli whose playing he can emulate. He has a website and he sells his music by mail. If you like his playing with the Commander - check it out.

Back in Marquette in the 70's, I lived, breathed and loved the Commander's music. This song changed some of my best friends lives. I saw George in Maui this past winter and Lord his music moved me just like it always did.
