A mashup of sorts of the three iconic Mrs. Lovetts singing "The Worst Pies in London".
Features clips from the 2007 movie (starring Helena Bonham-Carter and Johnny Depp), the 1982 tour (starring Angela Lansbury and George Hearn) and the 2001 concert (starring Patti LuPone and George Hearn). I tried to make them mesh as well as I could, but there are still a few awkward parts. Pers
onally, though I think all the performances are strong in their own way, I'm going to have to go with Lansbury. LuPone is too over-the-top here (though she toned it down nicely for the revival), and while Bonham-Carter's performance fit with the understated tone of the movie, she comes off as a litt
le lifeless next to the big, theatrical nature of the other two (and their big, theatrical voices-- "limited wind" indeed).

Mrs. Lovett is written to be a contralto, which is the lowest and most dramatic female range. Carter has a more lyrical and "melodic" range (soprano), but she cannot hit the low dramatic notes nor give such emphasis.

It's very difficult to draw comparisons as each actress delivers the song quite differently and HBC is singing in a lower key, which I found odd as I would've thought she had sufficient range - there you go. I find AL is the funniest, broadest and with fabulous timing but an accent all over the place; PL is unsurprisingly operatic, but nicely sleazy and suggestive; HBC is much more understated and, disappointingly, doesn't get camera attention at key points of the song. Thanks for a great edit!

Helena is definetly the best singer. The other two are all over the place and they can't seem to keep a tune. They're all good, but Helena will always be my favorite. Angela is just a little too overexaggurated. It sort of ruins the mood of the story.
