For the first time, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has tested the smallest vehicles sold in the US market. This video shows the crash results of the Nissan Versa, Hyundai Accent, Scion xB, Toyota Yaris and Chevy Aveo. Versa is good, but I stilll like the Yaris, because of its good fuel mileage. The Accent's not a bad car, but it does need some structural retooling in this sense

You'd better get the Yaris with the side impact air bags, then. Otherwise you might be kissing the grill of the car that hit you in a side impact crash like Yaris dummy #2 there.

Korean cars are fragile, the Nissan is the largest, the Toyotas (Scion & Yaris) are ugly and a 1979 Buick Riviera would be even worse in a crash.

On second thoughts, I was wrong. I'm sorry if I offended anyone, and sorry about my poor English. Not all Korean cars are fragile. Turns out the Kia Amantis got pretty good ratings and so did the new Hyundai Veracruz. Only the Accent, Aveo and Rio probably will rip your leg off in a crash.

The Accent is especially disappointing. It was equipped with full airbags, yet it is like a flimsy tin can. The Aveo is Korean, too. The Koreans can't make safe cars. With North Korea's nuclear power, who knows what's next. Car bombs under the seats???!!!

The Aveo is built in Bupyong, Korea with 96% Korean parts and 4% American.
