The title track from the 1982 release, Myrna Summers' landmark version of Uncloudy Day. Backed by the Refreshing Spring COGIC choir and recorded live at the church in Riverdale, MD; Evangelist Summers delivers perhaps the best gospel version of this song. The late Jerry Gorham's sparkling piano intro was genius. This is real gospel singing.

If you think "Uncloudy Day" is great (and it is!), you should hear her version of "Amazing Grace". It's on one of her self-released albums. Myrna sang it at my mom's homegoing service and wrecked the house!

I love her version of "Amazing Grace" too. Especially the opening..."waaaaas bliiind". However, her version of Uncloudy Day is the best version of the song. BTW, does the baby in my icon look familiar?

AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME! I was 12 when this was out and I remember playing it every single night. She truly inspired me and my music ministry. What an anointed women of God...and the sopranos were killing their note - saanng ya'll. This brings back some wonderful memories!

I remember this song from back in the day and I will be singing it tomorrow for our church's Annual Homecoming.......Lord have Mercy!!!!! This song brings back memories, when church was CHURCH and singing was just singing.....no whole lot of runs, this music requires you to just stand flat foot and just SAAANNNGGGGG!!!!!

Hallelujah soaplandon" let's keep praying seriously. Because the World can't tell the difference from a christian or one of their own now. It's gotten that bad. And, I am not that old, but I see that the church has become Business and no GOD. We say His Name, but that's it! "If my people who are called by MY Name would humble themselves and pray, and turn from their wicked ways; THEN will I hear from the FATHER and Heal The Land". The world and christians included need healing, We must pray.

I remember listening to this song back in 1982when I was in Bible college studying to be a pastor. My roommate introduced me to Myrna Summers album and I use to play this song all the time...Oh the precious memories!!

I agree with you, but I need you to quote the scriputer right. It says,"If my people which are called by name would humble themselves and pray, seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, I will forgive their sins and heal the land." It is so important that we quote correctly becuase when we take out words or add things we change the meaning of God's word.

This song I remember listening to while getting ready for church back in the day. We need these songs back in the church. These were gospel songs that were sung the way Jesus spoke to the people during His life time. Plain and simple. No vocal gymnastics and not a lot of keyboard runs or complicated chord progressions. Just plain old church choir singing. Who's with me?!
