Even now, Knopfler's talent, writing songs, and playing --damn, he's one of the best on the guitar-- just really hits home. Thanks for posting this. There's another version I like even better from like, 1979 with a heavy British accent, love that.. but the "Love Over Gold" concert videos are breathtaking..

I truly think I can appreciate that Alchemy Live as much as a Bach's Magnificat or Chopin's Ballades... it's to say how much I love it. Take a look at those Magnificat and Ballades... those classical pieces rock, as Knopfler's Alchemy do. (Hope my english is correct). From Bordeaux, France.
