We, the undersigned, petition and ask that the New York Department of Corrections Parole Board deny the parole/release of Convicted Killer "Mark David Chapman" during Parole hearings during Oct. 2008, and any future hearings to come, as to assure the Public of the World that "Mark David Chapman" w
ill serve his FULL term of Life In Prison for the Pre-meditated Murder of John Winston (Ono) Lennon committed Dec. 8, 1980.

Clearly, Chapman was off his rocker,but a lot of you people have so much hatred in your hearts. I was/am the hugest Beatles fan and always will be. I generally feel terrible about the whole situation and recognize it as a great loss,but I feel sorry for Chapman too. He obviously was severely mentally ill and struggled with a tortured existence. I can't rightfully forgive him,but I can't rightfully condemn him forever and ever either.

Thank you. Although I achieved my initial goal of 5000 signatures I want to get as many as I can before I print the petition on September 1st and send it by insured, signature requested mail to the parole board.

According to the parole transcript of 2000, MDC finally understood what Yoko went thru that night after he read an article in which she said she was shaking with fright that day. Self realization is not the goal of imprisonment MDC. Nor is it rehabilitation.

I am 42 now and I have to disagree. This is not hatred, but anger towards a man who had not thought once about the effect John's murder would have on his family or the world. He said that in his parole statement. I understand mental illness and Mark simply wanted fame the easy way. Ego was the problem, not sanity.
