The fact that Yes is not in the R&R Hall of Fame is criminal. We need to start a campaign. You can throw in Rush and King Crimson too.

One of the many, many great YES songs from Jon: the mastermind within these geniuses. Here, they already were very close to the all-time peak of Rock music in Relayer and Going For The One a few years later. What a time ...

The rotating round stage in the middle of the audience was unique in those days. Must have been hell of a fun for the technicians and the crew when they had no wireless systems

You never realise what you had till its gone... Yes, Zappa, E L P, Pink Floyd, Dayumm but we were spoiled!!! And I got to meet so many of these great (and sometimes bitchy) musicians, it was nice having a cop who worked concert security for an uncle (damn but he would have been shocked at what I was toting in Muahahahahaha

Obviously Yes is an incredible band and they deserve a lot of praise. But I'd also like to comment on the way this particulair tour was staged. In the round. An incedible concept! The band was in thwe middle of the auditorium and continually thru the show the entire stage rotated. You always had a new view of the musicians. There was always a new and interesting perspective to observe. It was an excellent idea and well executed also.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I totally agree with you. There are many artists who haven't been inducted who should be. This is one band who deserves to be there. Have to say ...WOW, how I envy you... seeing them at their prime and opening for Black Sabbath. Those were the days...hey? Cheers. Keep Rocking !!

I saw this GREAT!!! band a few times, in the 70's. They were AMAZING!!! to see live. Thanks for posting this video. It brings back great memories.

I love this band. Close to the edge was my first ever record (make that 8 track tape). Someone mentioned thier tour with Black Sabbath, I was at that show - my first rock concert, Wild Turkey? was also on the bill. I saw them a total of 4 times, the last show being in the late 70's possibly this show. Yes made an impression and I always gravitated to progressive rock afterwards, Rush & Kansas my other favorites. And, my god I can't believe they are not in the hall of fame. Cheers Glen - Rock On

I've gotta say, I'm a touch disappointed by the generally sluggish and inconsistent tempo. I mean, yeah, they're clearly great musicians, but it would have been nice to see a little more consistency. This is and will likely remain one of my favorite prog songs (still can't compete with Starless, I'm afraid, but what can?), but I definitely prefer the studio version.

I definitely prefer the studio version as well, but this song is much better than Starless.
