Robert Plant makes the first of his guest appearances at Fairport Convention's Cropredy festival. This time it's from the 7th Annual Reunion, in 1986. Fairport back Percy on a song from Muddy Waters, 'Nineteen Years Old'.

This is quite a chestnut. Richard Thompson is just about the best guitar player on the planet, but you almost never hear him play straight blues, and you hear practically no blues influence in any of his playing, which is remarkable for a rock guitarist. Here he seems to have very little interest in performing the song, like he can't wait for it to end. RT rules, by the way!

Apparently Plant and Page turned up with Fairport at Kinver last week in a small unannounced benefit gig for a local village hall restoration. Any footage anywhere?. I`m told they did Black Dog and another Zep song.
