It's always perplexed me how this, the cover version, seems so much tighter than the original. It makes a lot more sense than Costello's vocal to my ears. Ive not heard a version I've warmed to other than this. It's like Bob Dylan's version of Knocking on heaven's door makes absolute sense, and every other version lacks soul.
