High Voltage Software created the "Quantum 3" engine for the Wii, which can magic amazing graphics on your TV, and yes, this is the Wii Hardware. Whatch this and see what the Wii can do! Quantum 3 is going to be used in a Wii exclusive shooter, called "The Conduit". This game will have better graphics than both Metroid Prime 3 and Super Mario Galaxy, by far.... The goal of the developers is to make The Conduit look like an Xbox 360 game. Go to IGN to see the first pics of the game. And again: If you thought Metroid Prime 3 is the all-time best looking Wii game, then watch this!

Yeah, I read the description. Its the Wii Hardware and allows better visuals. Imagine this with the MP3 and SMG graphics. That would be amazing.

High Voltage really wants to show critics wrong with the Wii. They are really striving to improve Nintendo Wii's kiddy image by upping the graphic quality and attracting more Hard Core gamers. Good for them!

Me neither. That's purely an engine issue though, since RE4 proves that fantastic fire and explosion effects are possible with the Wii. (not saying that you think otherwise, just a random remark)

u dont like the fire watch the vid again m8 that game engine is awesome wait till u see more of what it can do E3 my guess cant wait the brick.tiles floor,lantun swinging,all the high end reflection and the armour was incredeble wow the helmet and shields had the best detail ive seen in a game watch it on ign when the shield turns wow wow wow

Good for High Voltage. I salute them for putting a decent wii game. Everyone knows water effects are the hardest to create and these look pretty damn amazing

THANK. YOU. Wow, and look at the water. I just wish Wii would out put at at a higher resolution. I'm tired of playing Prime 3's beautiful graphics behind pixels on my display... This engine is going to kick ass, and hopefully Nintendo will stick to their announcement of a new online service to come soon... May not be 360 or PS3 stuff, but this engine really makes Wii look next gen in its own way :)

The thing with games development is budget and timing. How many games have ever surpassed the technical demos we have ever seen?
I dont think any PS2 game came close to the demos shown in the unveiling in 1999 and the Gamecube Rebirth technical demo puts everything on it to shame - except RE4.

I am greatly looking forward to seeing graphics on the Quantum 3 engine, but the main problem is: Considering the Wii runs on ATI GFX, will the Wii be able to handle something this powerful? I am not saying ATI is bad, but still, the Wii is a small system, I am not 100% on the Quantum 3 engine working with lag on the Wii.
