In the last week two good online friends of mine left YouTube in disgust. These are just two of the many to have left because of the hatred that goes on here.
In the midst of all this, infamous super-hater Mike Skehan has asked for clemency and permission to return to YouTube after being "perma-banned." In case I didn't make the point strong enough in the video, I don't give a rat's ass about Mike Skehan one way or the other. It's YouTube that is broke

I never really watched Skehan's videos becuase i thought the couple I saw of his were childish self promotional camaign videos.
I don't care either if he is banned personally as I never watched his vids and he didn't watch mine... but from YouTube's point of view I hope he remains perma-banned. If they un-ban him they will have to start a review process for all the people the have banned. That would be a massive waste of t
ime over a few people who don't care about real community.

True about opening the doors to a lot of others just to be fair. The problem is, they're all already back on YT, just under different names. Until YT plugs that hole and fixes a few other openings, there's no point in banning or blocking because they're easily gotten around.

This site needs an enema. :) you say rats ass alot. :) No offence but it would be unfair for those who met "because" of YouTube to leave YouTube to start a new site. I think YouTube should have a "paid for" version. This "other" version could have features such as not having to type distorted letters and having to limit the size and/or length of the video. This paid for version would allow YouTube to know exactly who you are so most likely people would behave.I don't know.I was thinking the same

Careful what you wish for ;^) I wouldn't be too surprised to see YT offer a paid "upgrade membership" in the next year. As to whether or not what we're doing is "fair" to YT, at least we've done it out in the open and have even offered many of our ideas to YT. They've chosen to a) not take the ideas and b) allow to talk about them here. I'm grateful for b and say it's to their credit that they allow this conversation to happen here. We shall see what happens. It could be an interesting year.

I don't think it's unfair at all, at least in this situation (people who met on YT competing with YT) - I was just responding to somebody else's comment. I don't have any problem with what I've done in the fairness department.
