As much as a I loved 'Maxinquaye',Tricky and Martina's homage doesn't even come remotely close to capturing the anger & urgency of this joint.
Only outside of its socio-political context could you appreciate Black Steel more.

He was sentenced to die last week by lethal injection until the Supreme Court suspended his execution to determine whether or not they would hear his case.
7 of the 9 original witnesses recanted their testimonies & claimed that they were forced to swear to false accounts of the events.
No material evidence hitherto has linked Davis to the crime.
