Here are the final 10 minutes of voting during the 1969 Eurovision Song Contest held in Madrid, Spain. And what a ten minutes it was. Europe ended up with four winners and a charming host who had no clue what to do next... Enjoy!

4 countries won but this 4 way tie caused a boycott by the Nordic members for the 1970 contest. The points system was changed in 1971 and again in 1975 which has stayed the same since.

Gracias por la explicacion. Aunque sea de Elio Bernhanyer sigo pensando que es muy hortera aunque deberia de trasladarme a los gustos de la epoca, supongo. Es exageradisimo y demasiado grande para el tipo tan "petite" de Massiel. Gracias, de todas fomas.

é varias veces esa canción y os juro que tía está gritando. Eso no es cantar. Y la melodía de la canción es estupidísima. La verdadera genadora de este festival fué Frida Boccara, escelente y genuina cantante, quien murió no mucho tiempo después.

Como era la votacion antes? No era los tipicos de 1 a 8 y 10, 11 y 12 puntos, repetian votos.... Que alguien lo explique, por favor!!!

Primero ni ahora ni nunca se dieron 11 jeje creo que te equivocaste. Los votos en esa epoca se daban de la siguiente forma: El jurado de cada pais tenia 10 puntos para repartir indistintamente entre los paises que les parecieron los mejores y repito, los podia repartir como quisieran: 1,1,1,3 y 4 por ej. se debia sumar 10 en total.

é of ESC fraud... After Franco's bought Spain's victory in 68, EBU (on the prospect of the same happenning in madrid) made up 4 winners! The next year 6 countries left in protest & they changed the rules (but the fraud is still on...)
