Watching it again, I realised just how heartbreaking the look on the doctors face is when he sees her kissing someone so like him, but not him. I think it's amazing how much emotion David Tennant managed to put on his face in just those couple of seconds before he turns away

Am I the only one who prefered the aired kiss more than the confidential kiss? I liked that the aired kiss was more onesided. The Doctor has always been very asexual so seeing him suddenly make out like there is no tomorrow would have felt wrong to me. So I liked the aired kiss more. Felt more in character.

Yeah I understand that but considering that the human parthuman Doctor had been in alive only for a couple of hours and that during that hours he commited qenocide, was dumped on a parallel world, lost the Tardis ect. It would make sense that he would not suddenly discover his mad passionate sex drive and make out with Rose like crazy. The guy has always been asexual and was kind of in shock. So that kiss felt right to me, for him.

When Rose and the other Doctor are left on the beach and they turn to face each other I think that it's sad that neither of them can smile. The second Doctor has the woman that he loves, Rose has a lifetime with the Doctor, but so many things have happened that they cant smile. It makes me sad.
