Pacino "AIDS affects mostly homosexuals" If this was true, which I don't think it is, it would have been great because there is another reason not to be gay. This scene basically tells you everything you need to know about the film. Al Pacino's beautiful and mesmerizing performance, the truly excellent screen writing and of course the main taboo subject: Aides and homosexuality. Lots of people don't go to see movies like these because of this subject (the same thing with Brokeback Mountain) but they're missing some good stuff here. They're repulsed by homosexuality and they don't see the beauty of love, whether it's same-sex or not.

I'm reading roy's speech as a monologue for college, and i love seeing different ways of doing it, i'm reading it alot angrier then he did, but i love seeing al's spin on it and how he sees the character fit, bravo
