Converse "Weapon" Shoe Commercial
Classic TV ad featuring the best players from the Golden Era of NBA basketball.
This was shown and aired throughout the 1986-87 season, during Larry Bird's final reign as the MVP. It was probably removed in May 1987 (when Magic Johnson became MVP).

Furthmore, if today's stars did this EXACT same commericial the public would condem it for being too "hip hop". Today's guys are judged by a much higher standard, for whatever reason.
You need the top stars that won MVPs recently/near winning it. And the guy winning it showing it off like Bird which makes this commerical work. But there is too much pride with everybody nowadays, less sportsman like admiration these guys show to each other (product of excessive wealth and pam
pering). Can you really see Kobe, Nash, Lebron, CP3, Duncan, Wade having this good of chemistry and genuiine respect?
'83 76ers! '86 Celtics! '87 Lakers! '96 Bulls! Now that would be a hell of a Playoff!
THat's the point asshole. All of the black dudes sucked ass so bad that even Larry Bird sounded better and he wasnt even rapping. Do you be understandin now?
