I mean, he begged Mr. Lee Lewis to learn more than three chords so that he could add a bit of harmonic colour, but, alas, old Jerry was too busy sniffing around the crotch of his pre-pubescent cousin to make a decent effort.

I'm not knocking Brian May, here but I was at this gig & it was an embarrassing moment for him. Even the bit of his solo you can hear, on the video, you couldn't hear in the crowd & he just looked like he was going for it with no sound coming out. Not his fault, obviously-just a technical hitch.
When Jerry Lee starts playing the same song again, at the end, it was totally so that Brian could do his solo again, which, of course, he did without a hitch!
