Transcendent. As was stated here earlier, their first two discs are seminal, and later anti-pop work often achieved glory as well. Despite the subjective nature of taste in music, I believe "Dumbwaiters" is the most unique and original song ever created. Once reviewed as "defying description by the English language." Indeed. The best of them all.

From the album Talk Talk Talk. I love this song. Furs rule. I heard a brilliant interview between Richard Butler & Canadian DJ Chris Sheppard. It was so informative. They have been friends since the first album. And Sheppard used to follow them around from city to city. You could hear the love between them. Sheppard also said richard's solo song Good days bad days, Is brilliant!

Ahh the memories... saw them in Los Angeles, '83 I think. (Magic Mountain of all places) haha on acid and young. They were very, very good live. In my state I was convinced it was a recording!! I remember thinking he moved a bit like Bowie... Their 1st album was the best in my humble opinion.

Fantastic...and there the chills and goosebumps are again. The Psychedelic Furs were always there for me since 1080. Saw them in hard times for me in Oz, bought their later albums on cassettetapes, whilst visiting family in the US...at home in Holland, and now from anywhere on on YouTube.
Still waiting for the new PF album to come out though ! But this Dumb Waiter is classic !

Once described by a reviewer as "defying description by the English language."
IMO, this is one of the most inventive and monumental creations in music history. In any genre. The slightly off-pitch sax, the tempo, the lyrics, the guitar solo at the end. Nothing like it. This is my favorite piece of music, by far. Incomparable. A locomotive of musical audacity. Brilliant.
