Jesus relates to us exactly where we are at. If we are weary and worn out He tells us to come to Him and He offers rest. His invitation goes out to everyone. He welcomes our questions too. As long as we come with humility and a genuine heart He will not turn us away. There is nothing wrong with seeking rewards from God. Why else would there be so many promises of rewards in the Bible? Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father. And our Father delights in giving good gifts to His children.
