Neutronhomer... the beauty of music, is that you CAN create things like that. besides - Blackened Power Metal would be a sub genre, seeing as Power Metal is a normal "genre".
besides - theres other Blackened Power Metal bands out there, like Kalmah and Norther, and even local bands, like Oskorei. the drumming is quite black metal no blasts - but - double pedal is present. very atmospheric (also black metal influence).

i disagree. COB and particularly this song is Mainstream Metal if anything. The particulars about the general sounds and instrumentals mean nothing for a genre if the band's style is higly melodic and uses a strong mainstream format, which this most definitely does.

lol. Many COB songs are difficult to pin down on exact genre, and it makes it even more confusing that they don't stick to one. You're right about the trend-whoring, but at the same time I'm going to have to say that I stick with what I originally said because even though it does have some black and melodic death tendencies it still is stronger mainstream than anything else.
