It is true that Caron's save was sick. However, it was not in OT in Game 7 of a playoff series, and if memory serves me correctly, the Pens lost that game in OT. Mclean's save was right up there with Cujo's big save three years later. It was a fantastic kick save. Both of those saves were important because if they allow those goals, there season would have been over. Enough said.

ok, if you are judging this based on the situation, you are probably right. but there have been better. Nabokov on Richards, Nittymaki on the Islanders, Luongo on Barnes (look it up), the list goes on and on.

Sorry, but you're wrong. A game 7, post to post save on a 3-1 break in a high-drama series like this? It was the best save I've ever seen and I don't think I'll see one as acrobatic and dramatic for the rest of my days. The red light came on!!!

mmhmm, I dont wanna start a debate, but... Evgeni Nabokavs save vs dallas, this year. 3-2 series, and also in overtime on the brink of elimination.. and in 1991, Frankie pietreangelo.. game 6, and devils are leading the series 3-2.. If he never made that save, that game 6 wouldve been different, pens mightve lost the series.

Okay Luongo is phenomenal, but I forgot just how good this guy was. His stand up style wasn't the greatest, but he made some incredible saves. He stole this game and should have stolen game 7 of the finals. Damn refs screwed it up.

Yes, that was the year Vancouver went to the Finals. What made this even more amazing was that it was in a Game 7, and Vancouver had been down 3-1 in the series. If he doesn't make that spectacular save, Vancouver is sitting home.
Don Cherry even said later than you'd never see a better save than that one if you watched hockey for the next hundred years.
