I seem to remember he used to do a brilliant take-off of Al Jolson using a balaclava, and he had a jacket with false arms in, so when he did all the emotive arm movements Jolson used to do they got longer and longer, great act!

totally great stuff! about....40 years ago i saw this act on (i think)sunday night at the london palladium(on tv of course!). i was in my late teens and i laughed so much at this performance. i always said that i'd look sandy powell up if i ever got a computer. lo and behold this is the same clip i seen all those years ago.great memories of good times and brill comedy acts. thanks donkeydentures. you are a super guy for posting such sheer class.keep it up mate.
