Barkley joined in the 96-97 season, AFTER the Rockets 2peat. Jordan had defensive specialist Rodman and Pippen. Jordan had clutch shooters Paxson and Kerr. Jordan had a rebounder in Horace Grant. Also when Jordan left the Bulls the first time they only lost 2 more games and the players on his team did better than when he was there.

That is not always true. It is certainly not a given.
The 80's Celtics/Lakers (in their prime) would probably beat any team - of any era. MJ was great, but the 90's Bulls in their prime would not beat the 80's Celtics/Lakers in their prime.
