For me, the 'No Quarter' album from Zep really marked a 'coming of age' if you will - they should have sounded like this back in the '70's, IMHO.
But they couldn't, because they were still practising back then :-(
Just kiddin'. What really has made a difference to Zep's musical style is their fluency in the ins and outs of Moroccan music.
Through their appreciation of this genre, they have greatly matured their own rock music. They're brilliant now. Much better than this video. Hark at Planty.
