Zie, I agree with you about Romney. Thompson doesn't really seem to be interested in running all out for the Presidency.

The debt is more complex than just the government spending lots of money. Also the US debt was different until 1914 when the money stopped being made by the government and became owned by a central banking process that gives us money in this manner $1 + interest. Thus we can't pay it off EVER. First the banking bill must be gone before this nation could ever be debt free.
