Artist acquires a Bill Viola video and proceeds to record over it on his VCR. The work, of course, references Robert Rauschenberg's infamous "Erased De Kooning" (1953).
McGowan lives and works as a Theorist and Video Artist in Los Angeles. He is proud to have never made a video work.
