Everyone has his own taste, and I guess most people like a male Death better.
I'm absolutely used to Death being played by a woman that my judging on male Deaths became much harder.

Because the Takarazuka Revue is an all-women performing theater group and are highly famous in Japan and they're getting rather famous in the US as well.
I very much love Takarazuka as well as Haruno Sumire (who plays Der Todd in the flower troupe's version of Elisabeth - featured here).
But, I like the German version as well.

i know that there isn`t a english version of Elisabeth.
but there are translations of the lyrics.
but you have to be realistic because only one german Musical made it to play on the broadway, that was: "Tanz der Vampire" or "The Dance of the Vampire" and it was not the same play like in germany. the had other costumes other chacateres and a complet different storyline. i don't want to think ab out a english version, when the broadway done his own version again.

Well, there are a few songs in English, actually. And you're being rather narrow-minded. Just because ONE German musical failed here, you admitted it wasn't even the same one- and that's only one.

Well it's only "another version" to well-seasoned people like yourself. :) Most people in the U.S., and quite possibly the U.K. too, haven't heard of the German musicals. So I think, if the translation was done right, it would be good.
It's more than a little strange to see a feminine death. :P
