It's more complex than that, I'm afraid.
Right-brain-dominant people don't always get ADHD.
The rate at which people manifest right-brain dominance hasn't changed. ADHD is going through the roof.
I'm convinced it's not simply overdiagnosis, and it's not an invented disease intended to spur drug profits. The whole spectrum of brain disorders began to really shoot upwards in the early '90s, especially in the US. Something is making a very large number of people ill in their heads.

No offense intended!
I think vaccines are a possible source of the trend.
For example, I don't think sufficient precautions have been taken to remove the SV-40 virus from polio vaccines. Nor has SV-40 been adequately studied in human populations after it got into those populations via vaccines in the late 1950's and onward. We don't even know if it can be transmitted between humans.
Food additives and industrial toxins are also suspects in my book.

What's scary is that I stopped drinking caffeine after watching this video. Then about three months ago I was so tired in the mornings that I drank coffee, energy drinks, and soda every single day since. I had forgotten that I even watched this video! I keep forgetting. Scary.

The only thing that I have been concerned about ever since... is getting more caffeine. Now I am looking for a video on Caffeine addiction just like I did before.

That's something I have heard before - from sufferers of ADHD.
As always, the problem with using caffeine to treat ADHD is this: drug tolerance. As tolerance builds, it will take more and more caffeine to achieve the same effect. ADHD sufferers are therefore at heightened risk of addiction, caffeine intoxication, and caffeine toxicity.
I suggest you talk it over with your doctor. She might be able to find a better solution for your insomnia.

Not everyone who has ADHD has had it diagnosed or treated.
It's unusual for caffeine to have a sedative effect on people without the disorder, I think.

Thanks for the video. I guess to remedy my frequent headaches, that I started having, I should cut the caffeine off completely. Some people tell me I am supposed to ween myself off of the substance. Is that alright too?
Headaches can have ...( 4 days ago by Urgelt)
Headaches can have many causes, but yeah, if you have them, cutting out the caffeine might help you.
When I quit, I went cold turkey. Others say tapering off worked for them. And still others fail to get off the drug no matter how they try. Not surprising, that's how it is with all addictive drugs. You have to really want to be rid of it to succeed, and be willing to stand the unpleasantness during withdrawal.

I've tried to give up caffeine numerous times--I took it up heavily when I quit booze in 1998. Whenever I'm more than a few hours without a Diet Pepsi, I look like Frank Sinatra in THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN ARM.

If you want to lose the addiction, and aren't having luck on your own, you might try speaking to your doctor about it.
I sure won't be the one to say quitting is easy.

Many drugs act as triggers for various bipolar mood states. Caffeine is on the list of drugs to avoid.
This would be a good question to take to your doctor, Lori. You can also read on-line by Googling "bipolar drug therapy" and "bipolar caffeine."

Migraines have a lot of different triggers, as it turns out. Dehydration is one of many.
In my case, however, migraines ceased within 6 months of ending my caffeine intake. Regardless of whether I was careful about taking in enough water, the migraines had vanished.
I think it may be important to distinguish between "triggers" and "causes." Triggers of migraines are fairly well known. Causes are quite a bit murkier.

As I understand it.. Caffeine is a diueretic which means it causes ur body to excrete far more urine then it would ordinarily, as well, it stimulates your bowels upon your first dose for the day... im not unfamiliar with headaches and caffeine addiction and they only result when a) im dehydrated and b) i havent had enough coffee. Im presently taking caffeine pills because i feel horrible without caffeine, im pretty sure the companies behind caffeine knew this LONG ago which is why they in da biz

of course your headaches would cease because your body is no longer dehydrating at the accelerated rate tthat caffeine induces!

I'm not sure we're talking about the same kind of headaches.
You can get a withdrawal headache if you are addicted to caffeine and have not had your usual daily dose. It's unpleasant.
A migraine is an entirely different kind of headache. It affects just one hemisphere of the brain, is accompanied by specific features (aura, visual distortions) and it is extremely painful - incapacitating, in fact. In medicine, only cluster headaches are considered to be worse than migraines.
Dehydration was ...( 15 hours ago by Urgelt)
Dehydration was clearly not the cause of my migraines. I've been dehydrated many times since giving up caffeine without triggering a migraine.
I attributed my migraines to caffeine years before modern science followed suit. Now it's widely accepted: caffeine is associated with migraines. If you get them, quitting caffeine may help. It sure worked for me.

I agree, Chris. We do need plenty of clean water for health. Anyone with a health problem, no matter what it is, should be looking at their water consumption to make sure it's adequate. That includes migraines! Dehydration might not cause them, but it sure is one of the known triggers.
It's possible to go too far, though. Every year, a few people die from drinking too much water - usually, a chugging stunt.
lol, just kidding. but ya i see what you mean. honestly, i think it could be the shots they give babies, some pesticide, etc. you know?
