however hard you want just dont drop your shoulder and kill the guy. Just enough to continue him moving backwards since your already causing him to back up. Use gravity against him, also the faster your release the less space you need so work on that aswell.

creating space is kind of easy depending on if you use the bumping method or just crossing up the defender with your handles.
my handles aint that nice (just good enough to keep in under control for press and stuff like that) but i prefer the bumping method but i miss more shots with the bumping then just crossing up.
