Another video of Eric Carmen singing his song "All by Myself"... aired for tv show "UK Gold" during 1976 in UK... by that time the song was #26 in British charts reaching later #12.
In this version Carmen sing and play without playback... together with group (which is noticed by the sign he made to the group in minute 3:43 to enter in the closing part).

It varies in different territories, but in the U.S. all works published before 1923 have expired copyrights and are in the public domain. Rachmaninov's 2nd piano concerto (Op. 18), that Eric has arranged, and added a lyric to, was composed in 1900-1901, and thus is in the public domain, and doesn't have to be credited. Similarly Love Me Tender, credited to Elvis Presley and Vera Matson, is actually based on the American Civil War ballad Aura Lee. Its original composer isn't credited either.

the dancing ladies represent women who have come and gone in a parade of one night stands and lust based relatiomships. in essence women have danced through his life and he has yet to find one to love and who truly loves him. the song is his acknowledging that perhaps he is to blame and now wants to change his life, that he desire fulfillment and not the emptiness that lonliness brings from meaningless living.

you can`t compare celine dion with him as well as you can`t compare men and women singing talent!
we don`t really care about your opinion; you like him, ok, I prefer celine, all right, but i`d like you to notice the number of views for each video and tell me then who`s the most popular..which means people prefer to listen at her, which means her voice sounds better to human`s ear( It`s a fact you can`t deny it)..

Don't talk nonsense, talent is the same for men or women... Carmen is interpreting a song, Dion is shouting and screaming. About this of "be popular" in Northamerica is rather easy to be such thing... it's just a matter of good marketing... in other words spent lots of money in a so called "singer".

When an artist start need marketing... when is getting older and need to win a prize like "grammy" or maintain her career need marketing too... this is how thing are managed in NA. Mr. Eric Carmen simply stole this song from Rachmaninov many years later the classic composer started to get mentioned together with Carmen. I simply posted this to show how much scream Ms Dion and how Mr. Carmen stole this music. Anyway Carmen as composer shows some sensibility and he really feels his song.

« popular these days», she`s the most popular singer on this planet since a decade.. She sold 230 million albums, so stop comparing both, he can`t touch Celine anyway!!
