You're just another fake Pro-Tibetan apart of this widely spread fake Pro-Tibetan movement that does nothing to actually help the Tibetan people, and focuses more on attacking China. The only political movement with an actual address, headquarters, phone number, and being funded by the American government is this fake Pro-Tibetan movement. That's how you can tell it's fake. The anti-Iraq war movement along with other compassionate movements didn't have all of that, they were real people.

You don't believe me? Tibet . com is a huge example. The entire site promotes in detail things about Tibetan culture. Which is truly Pro-Tibetan, since it helps promote Tibet, in terms of language, history, food, and etc. You don't see any of this mindless bullshit that you're regurgitating on that website. i don't know about my kids now, but they have their freedom to do anything. what i can see in this issue is the CIA created all this happen, and use this as a weapon for politics to attack China, but don't make me wrong, i do agree China did lots of things wrong, and i know, but western media report the fake photo issue, i'm sure it have a big story behind, it's all about politics.

Lets not see conspiracy when none exists. Life is usually a lot simpler and direct than that. Did Western media make a big deal out of the Tibet issue? Of course it does, that's their job. Western media has to make a profit in order to stay in business, but on the same hand, they can't distort too much or they loose credibility. In Western Media, retractions are common. Anyway, the point is that here in the "West" we get to hear both the official Chinese government's viewpoint along with other Western and other global viewpoints. The reader looks over all the info at hand and makes a reasoned judgment. In China, the government actively blocks points of view which is in dissent. Therefore, it's people make a ill-informed choice. I read news from many sources and chat with people on the issue that take an opposite stance.

If the people I chat with are reasoned, they may sway my opinion if I have access to facts that I didn't have before. But, if people just yell and insult me for questioning them unreasonably, then it is easier for me discredit the story. I am well aware that my government can lie to me. It is up to me to discern truth, that's my job as a citizen. If a politician lies to me, I can vote him out of office. Or I can organize another party to overthrow a political party with help of others.

A very reasoned response takealook2008, I appreciate your mature opinions. Yes, I also believe politics is getting worse and worse. It makes one wonder what type of replacement can work in the future. I am extremely disappointed by all the major world powers at the moment. Brainwashing is only possible when one is exposed to only one side of the story. Reasoned people exposed to many opinions get to choose. I also do believe there is a right or wrong. Back in 1948, December 10th the Chinese government voted pro-UDHR. Therefore, human rights become part of international law, which every country should respect.
Yet, some countries willingly and knowingly break human rights laws. Not just limited to non-western countries. However, western countries largely follow the UDHR.

Since China is a totalitarian system, I support Tibetan defiance no matter how long they may have or not been part of China. Once China is a democracy, the Tibetans and Chinese can decide what the future holds. America used to have the Philippines, but they wanted independence so it was given to them. Guam and Puerto Rico decided to remain territories with the option of either becoming states or independent. Why can't China give Tibet the choice?

i don't know about China don't want to give a chance to Tibetan, and i have no problem if they independent or not, but from what i got all info and what i know about the history, in this Tibet case, mostly created by CIA, if talk about human right, i will definately say yes, but if see this on politics, i will 100% no. if Tibet don't have China in 1959, Tibetan still living in a slave system under Dalai Lama rules, cut off limbs if they did things wrong, and the guy who did this got nobel prize.

takealook2008, What matters is that the majority of Tibetans want independence. I do not know if they will ever get it. Anything is possible. But people in this world have a natural right to be independent and free. China's Tibet policies are in defiance of the human spirit.
