Oh of course man. Modern day club bopper rap is pretty pathetic. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Ortiz isn't 10x more talented than those scrubs, but I'm saying it's a bit ridiculous to claim to "be" hip hop when you aren't one of the originals. I can respect Joels talent, but I think in his image and lyrics he confuses thug-life with hiphop.

Thug-life and hip hop may be commonly mixed and intermingled, but he seems to think they're synonymous. I don't see how him eating chicken wings and french fries or pouring liquor on the pavement helps make him hip hop. That's sad.
