Either that or they were on a pve server and one friend stayed on the horde side and told them what to do and communicated with his friends on the horde by using the phone or something. Thats the way I see it.

I think the dragons were off of modelviewer or something because it didn't look like it was just out of the game, whether it was on a private server or not. Actually I think most everything on Tales of the Past III is filmed by using modelviewer. But eh.. what do I know?

it was in an actual WoW server, dont know which one. The communication was done threw vent where nearly everyone was telling what to do. The creator of this movie asked some horde guilds and alliance if they wanted to act
