Jewish-Israeli and Palestinian singers and musicians joined together to perform the Hebrew-Arabic song "Hevenu Shalom Aleinu" (We Brought Peace Upon Us) - "Ma Ana Ajmal Min Salam" (There is Nothing More Beautiful Than Peace).
Sung in both Hebrew and Arabic, this Middle-Eastern, inspiring, jazzy song challenges us to overcome decades of hatred and suspicion and appreciate the common humanity of both people. Let the power of music, song and dance replace hate, racism and demagoguery. If, after singing along with this v

Compromise!!! How people would compromise the killing of their father mothers daughters and sons? How would they do that with no dignity and complete humiliation because the other side has the f16, apaches? Some of the Arab people came directly from Abraham and are our direct cousins. If only they could put our blood ties closer than Islam for just a moment and stop the Jihad. Not all Arab people are our friends and they never will be. where are the true children of Ishmael? Where are our original cousins from father Abraham, the people who were friends before Islam was even invented?

Very nice. One thing, though - All I hear is Arabic music. They sing in Hebrew every now and then, but the music is still Arabic. If this really is a 'peace song', shouldn't it be balanced?

I was actually tearing up when watching this video. I pray day and night for peace in the Middle East.
Nevertheless the most sad part of the conflict going on in palestine is that the Arabs and Jews have a lot of similarities, and their partically one race (almost), and their killing each other??????

The song starts out in Hebrew. And what are you trying to suggest, that "Jewish music" is synonymous with Ashkenazi music?? Jews with origins in the Middle East comprise more than 1/2 of Israel's population, and their musical traditions are similar to Arabic musical traditions. Jewish music does not always equal klezmer, ya know. (That said, I believe I heard a few strains of clarinet in there as well, giving a little bit of the suggestion of Eastern European Jewish musical traditions as well.)

1. Most of us Israelis don't consider ourselves to be of one race. Nothing in my blue eyes & blonde hair resemble an average Arab. Jews in Israel come from either Europe (55%) or Asia/Africa (45%), and they all look like the people in their country of origin.
