[Rated: PG-13]
One princess. One virus. No sense.
NOTES:
- Our sound class was given the task of dubbing over a 10-minute clip of our choice. To my dismay, our choice was either a segment from SPIRITED AWAY, or PRINCESS MONONOKE.
- Me being me, I chose to combine the two, creating my own anime abomination.
- I
have never seen either movie. "You really should," people tell me... Um, okay.
- These clips came bare, with NO SOUND. Every noise and voice was put in by yours truly (I wouldn't boast if it didn't take so dang long).
- Music includes themes from "Sleepy Hollow" and "Lord of the Rings," some NIN an
d Kamakawiwo'ole, as well as the final jam made by my roommate (which grew out of testing the microphone).
FUN FACTS:
- I found it advantageous that I have never seen the flicks.
- The suggestive church noise is actually from my recent animatic... There is an inside joke to that.
- I'm obviously a
fan of South Park, KFC, The Simpsons, and Mel Brooks' SPACEBALLS... oh, and Simon.
- If you know who "Agent 99" is, you get a cookie.
- I was actually suffering from Mono when I started this... I have since recovered from the cursed scourge.
- I seriously couldn't tell the gender of half of the cha
racters.
- The original ending had the "guy" reveal that he actually WAS a girl- But not just any girl: Suri, Scientology Prophet of the Future!... (AKA The Seed of Destruction)! I got a little lost once I started referring to the spaghetti monster as "Xenu."
